The objective of this conference is to assess the current challenges Europe faces regarding sustainable development policy, bring together stakeholders from different sectors and to address the prospects for further progress in this area.
The conference organizers welcome papers on the following topics:

European Education of Sustainable Development
National sustainable development strategies
Role, involvement and achievements of civil society

Participants are invited to propose additional sessions with a moderator and and least 3 participants.
Observatory of Sustainable Development's Representations (OR2D)
The observatory is a think tank and training network with members from several laboratories:
ACTé (ESPE, Blaise Pascal University at Clermont-Ferrand)
CERDI (Auvergne University)
METAFORT (IRSTEA Clermont-Ferrand)
TRIANGLE (ENS Lyon)
GRETHa (University of Bordeaux)
CREG (University Grenoble Alpes).
The observatory is located at Blaise Pascal University, Clermont Ferrand (ESPE - School of Teaching and Education - Clermont-Auvergne) and has four objectives:
Offer a venue for researchers, secondary school teachers and associations who wish to learn about research and associations.
Introduce transdisciplinary reflection and an educational dimension in the debate on sustainable development.
Produce tools, analytical frameworks and trainings in partnership with associations, local authorities and the private sector.
Initiate actions in the field across the European territory of the Francophone area.
Important Dates
Abstract Submission: 30 june 2016(including: name, first name, institution, email, 600 words).
The abstracts can be written in English, German, Spanish or French, the official languages of the event. The presentation should be in English or French.
Notification of Acceptance: 12 JULY 2016
Paper Submission: 30 September 2016
Prizes
Two prizes will be awarded by the Scientific Committee, and gave by Clermont Ferrand City (Clermont Agglomerations) and UVED
A prize for original and outstanding work of a young researcher
A prize for original work of a senior researcher
Interested researchers should submit their paper before 30 August. The prizes will take the form of support for travel and accommodations for the symposium.
Fee inscription
The 150 euros cover two lunchs (thursday and friday), two dinners (wednesday and thursday) and organization stuff.
